Lee Jeans gave
this Cup to the Club in the late 80’s when the Company was one of three top
Jeans Manufactures. They are still a very popular jean, but other brands have
seem to have moved onto their ground
The Club decided that the Cup should be
ridden for annually and go to the best youth rider in Class A on the harder
route.
This year the
trial will be held at Staden Quarry Cowdale Nr Buxton Derbyshire on Sunday 29th
October. Start Time will be at 11am.
Traditionally this
trial always incorporates the last round of the East Midland Centre Youth
Championship and this year is no exception.
The Centre Championship
has not so far this year has been well supported, which leaves most of the
classes still to be decided, and where points for the last round takes
precedence over previous rounds, it would be as well if all riders were to
attend and make sure that that championship is theirs.
If
the support for the Championship is not forthcoming there is a good possibility
that the centre may decide that it not wanted, and refuse to instigate it next
year. This would be an awful shame after some 15 years, considering all the
effort that has been put in to getting a
Youth
Centre Championship re-instated. So please if you have a bike, even if you are
only a beginner please come and endorse the fact that we need a championship.
The Trial will include
Adults having the usual Club format. Three routes for adults, which include
Beginners, plus Dead Easy Route.
You may enter on the day
but early entries accepted. Any questions regarding the championship or the
trial phone Ruth or Alan on 01332 559813.
